The Challenge

Jeff Gruending, lead graphic designer had been a member of Family Taekwondo for a couple of years when the idea of re-branding the business came up. As the vision poured from the owners mouths, it became clear what direction the company wanted to go in, and what was needed to take it there.

The Outcome

A fresh new look was presented which consisted of a fresh new logo that met the vision of the owners, a new website share information with the public about the club and provide information to the students, and marketing materials to promote the club at events and to hand out to people trying out for the first time.

The Logo

The owners were specific about the logo – it needed to look like a shield or family crest. We created various designs that incorporated Taekwondo elements into them until we created a winner – the logo they use today. The crest incorporated the tenets of Taekwondo around its outer edge and silhouettes of martial artists engaged in familiar poses on its inside.
